I provide supervision and consultation for psychotherapists on ethical, clinical and theoretical topics. I usually employ one or two private practice MFT interns who are gaining hours of supervised experience toward licensure.
My expertise lies in depth psychotherapy with individuals, couple therapy, the therapist’s use of self, working in relational fields, and the methods of sandplay and dreamwork.

Linda Cunningham, PhD, MFT is adjunct faculty in the Integral Counseling Program at CIIS and in the Depth Psychology Program at Sonoma State University, where she teaches graduate courses on depth methods, including dreamwork. She is in private practice in San Francisco, Petaluma and Corte Madera, and frequently gives postgraduate trainings on topics such as difficult countertransference, relational fields, working with dreams and sandplay. In her work with clients she integrates various theoretical perspectives: neuroscience, attachment theory and depth work; relational fields of transference/ countertransference; and Jungian and psychoanalytic theories. She also uses sandplay and EMDR, usually embedded in depth therapies.
Linda has extensively researched clinical work in the four archetypal relational fields. She has written many articles about the clinical relationship for the Journal of Sandplay Therapy and is the author of a book, Relational Sandplay Therapy.
